JustDial Listing Charges 2026: What You Really Pay Per Lead

The JustDial renewal call comes about a month before the year ends. The executive quotes ₹15,000, ₹25,000, sometimes ₹40,000, says the price is "for your category and city", and asks for the ECS form. If you run a dental clinic in Indore, a packers-and-movers firm in Pune or an AC-repair business in Peenya, the one question you cannot answer on that call is the only one that matters: what did each real enquiry cost me last year?

JustDial publishes no rate card for JustDial listing charges. What exists is scattered: an advertise page that calls its own figures indicative, a decade of press reports, the company's quarterly filings, a sample invoice, and hundreds of owner complaints about ECS debits that did not stop. This post puts them in one place, with a date and a source on every number.

You will get the real price range by tier of evidence, JustDial's own filings as a benchmark, the terms you sign, the 2026 complaint pattern, a copy-paste lead log with the cost-per-real-enquiry formula, a fair rule for renewing, and the owned alternative Google itself describes.

What are JustDial listing charges in 2026? Three tiers of evidence

No single number is honest, so here are three, ranked by how much you should trust them.

Tier 1: what JustDial itself publishes. There is no public rate card. Its advertise page describes plan figures as "indicative" and says the final price "depends on the category and city" at checkout. Tiers are sold on visibility: Pro at roughly 3x and Premium at roughly 2x the visibility of Standard. (The page returned a 403 on a direct load on 26 Oct 2026, so no figure could be confirmed at checkout.)

Tier 2: third-party reports. A YesPress profile dated 8 Sep 2026 puts the indicative Standard plan at "from ₹100 a day" with a one-year minimum, about ₹36,500 a year. Treat it as secondary; it could not be verified on justdial.com. The Ken (31 Jan 2018, paywalled) described a sales call in which the cheapest package was quoted at Rs 20,000 a year and then at Rs 12,000. Inc42 reported in Aug 2023 an average annual fee of ₹18,000–20,000.

Tier 3: what owners reported paying in 2026. An interiors firm's Trustpilot review of 22 Oct 2026 cites a monthly ECS of ₹4,342, roughly ₹52,000 a year. A tour consultancy's review of 10 Sep 2026 cites about ₹3,000 a month, roughly ₹36,000 a year.

Source Date Figure Weight
JustDial advertise page 2026 "Indicative", by category and city Official, no number
YesPress profile 8 Sep 2026 From ₹100/day, 1-year minimum (≈₹36,500) Secondary, unverified
The Ken sales call Jan 2018 Rs 20,000, then Rs 12,000 a year Old, first-hand
Inc42 Aug 2023 ₹18,000–20,000 average annual fee Press report
Owner reviews Sep–Oct 2026 ₹3,000–4,342 a month by ECS Individual, current

So the JustDial package cost you are quoted will land between ₹12,000 and ₹52,000 a year, depending on category, city and negotiation. That is the honest range for a JustDial paid listing today; any JustDial advertisement cost outside it deserves a question.

JustDial listing charges by the company's own numbers: about ₹20,900 a year

The most reliable benchmark is one JustDial files with the stock exchange every quarter. In its Q2 FY27 press release (NSE filing, 19 Oct 2026), Just Dial Ltd reported operating revenue of ₹342.8 crore from 656,520 paid campaigns. The arithmetic:

  • ₹342.8 crore ÷ 656,520 campaigns ≈ ₹5,220 per campaign per quarter
  • × 4 quarters ≈ ₹20,900 a year per paid campaign

A brokerage reached a similar figure: JM Financial estimated FY26 average revenue per campaign at ₹19,496 (Apr 2026). That is a brokerage estimate, not a JustDial disclosure. The quarterly figures were cross-checked against Inc42 (19 Oct 2026) and Arthneeti (20 Oct 2026).

Be clear about what this is: an average realisation across 6.5 lakh campaigns, not a price. A Mumbai interiors firm on Premium and a Tier-3 tailor on Standard are both inside that average. If your quote is ₹40,000, you are being asked to pay roughly twice what the average paying business pays.

The same filing says something about what the money buys. JustDial reported 198.4 million unique visitors in the quarter, up 0.4% year on year, against 57.4 million listings, up 12.2%. Mobile visitors fell 2.1%. Read plainly: listings are growing far faster than the audience, so each one competes for a roughly flat pool of visitors. Collections were ₹328.8 crore "including Monthly ECS", deferred revenue was flat at ₹526.1 crore (money collected for service not yet delivered, the mark of a year-upfront model), and profit after tax was ₹107.8 crore, down 9.7%.

The JustDial paid listing terms you actually sign

The sales call is about leads. The contract is about payment. A sample JustDial tax invoice with terms has been uploaded to Scribd; its authenticity is unverified, but the terms it shows match the pattern in owner complaints closely enough to list:

  • One-year term by default, whether you pay upfront or monthly.
  • Auto-renewal under ECS/NACH. The mandate does not lapse when the year ends.
  • Three months' notice to cancel the payment method.
  • Arbitration in Mumbai, wherever your business is.

JustDial's reply to refund requests in the complaints below follows one line: no refund, but an "adjustment against services", meaning extra months or features instead of money back.

Before you sign or renew at any JustDial premium listing price, ask for the contract as a PDF and find four things in it: the term, the ECS/NACH mandate, the notice period and the dispute clause. A payment link sent instead of a contract is itself an answer.

On JustDial ECS cancellation: send written notice, keep the acknowledgement, and separately ask your bank to cancel the NACH mandate, because the owners quoted below say the debit continued after written cancellation. Your bank, not JustDial, controls whether the mandate stays active; confirm the procedure with your branch.

How JustDial leads arrive, and the 2026 complaint pattern

A JustDial lead is a phone number, delivered by SMS, app notification or a connected call, usually to several businesses in the same category and area. The only sourced figure on how many is old: Outlook Business reported in Aug 2013 that an enquiry went to "three to five paid listings". JustDial publishes no current number, so do not take any per-lead count you hear on the sales call as fact.

What owners reported recently is consistent across platforms:

  • A generator-service firm in Peenya, Bengaluru (ComplaintsBoard, 10 Jul 2026): yearly contract with monthly ECS and an advance upfront; contacts dated 2025; callers wanting diesel supply, not generator service; one lead asking why their number had been shared; "the conversion rate of the leads provided is zero"; ECS continued after written cancellation.
  • A Noida firm (ConsumerComplaints.in, Jan 2026): leads who said they "had not approached JustDial"; ECS not stopped.
  • A Jaipur firm (ConsumerComplaints.in, 2025): leads were "individuals looking for internships or jobs"; "told flatly that no refund would be issued".
  • A distributor (Voxya, 26 Aug 2025): an ECS deduction the owner calls unauthorised.
  • A dental clinic (Voxya, 14 Mar 2023): paid online, then handed an annual ECS form.

JustDial's Trustpilot rating is 2.4 out of 5 from 459 reviews, and it is not all one-sided: one reviewer has used the paid listing for seven years and rates it well. The pattern is not "JustDial never works"; it is that leads are shared, time-sensitive and uneven, and the contract is rigid.

That has a practical consequence if you stay: the first business to call back usually gets the job, so fixing the JustDial callback is worth more than moving from Standard to Premium.

A lead log that shows what each real enquiry costs you

You cannot judge JustDial advertising cost from the invoice. You judge it from a log that nobody at JustDial keeps for you. Open a sheet, or a page in the notebook at reception, with these columns:

Date Source Service asked Area Phone Relevant? Reached? Quoted (₹) Won?
26 Oct JustDial AC gas refill Peenya 98xxx Y Y 2,500 N
26 Oct JustDial Diesel supply Yeshwanthpur 97xxx N Y – –
27 Oct Google AC service, 2 units Jalahalli 99xxx Y Y 1,800 Y

"Relevant" means they wanted what you sell, in an area you serve; "reached" means you spoke to a human. Every row has a source, so Google, JustDial and referrals share one log. The relevant-or-not test is the same one that separates IndiaMART fake leads from real buyers; only the platform changes.

Two formulas, once a month:

  • Cost per real enquiry = package cost for the month ÷ relevant leads
  • Cost per job = package cost for the month ÷ jobs won

An illustrative example, not a measurement: say an AC-repair firm pays ₹3,000 a month. JustDial sends 25 leads. The firm reaches 7, and 2 wanted AC work in its area. Cost per real enquiry is ₹3,000 ÷ 2 = ₹1,500. If one becomes a job, cost per job is ₹3,000. Whether that is good depends on the margin on an AC job. Keep the log for ninety days; one quarter turns JustDial listing charges from a quote into a cost you can take into the renewal call.

When renewing a JustDial paid listing is the right decision

If you searched "is JustDial paid listing worth it" and expected a flat no, this is not that post. JustDial is 63.84% owned by Reliance Retail Ventures (MarketsMojo, Mar 2026 shareholding) and said in its Q1 FY27 commentary (Jul 2026) that it is rolling out AI voice agents to qualify leads. It is not going away, and for some businesses the arithmetic works. Renew if most of these are true:

  1. You are in an emergency or high-intent category. AC repair in May, a plumber on a Sunday, packers and movers before a transfer date, an ambulance. The buyer calls the first three numbers anyway, so shared leads matter less.
  2. Fewer than about five paid competitors in your city-category. That rule of thumb comes from a vendor blog on solar leads (14 Jul 2026), not from JustDial, but the logic holds: a lead shared among three is worth more than one shared among fifteen.
  3. You are new and have no reviews yet. A paid listing can bring the first twenty customers while your Google profile is empty.
  4. Your measured cost per job is below your margin. From the log, not from the executive's deck.

If the log says ₹1,500 per real enquiry and a job earns ₹4,000 in margin, renewing is reasonable. If it says ₹7,000 per job on a ₹2,500 margin, no plan tier fixes that.

JustDial vs Google Business Profile: the alternative you own

"JustDial vs Google Business Profile" is a false choice; most businesses should have both. The difference is that one is free, and Google is explicit about how it decides who shows up. Its local ranking help page says "There's no way to request or pay for a better local ranking" and names three factors: relevance, distance and prominence. Businesses with "complete and accurate info" are, in Google's words, more likely to be shown. That is usually why a competitor shows up on Google and you do not: their profile is finished and yours is not.

A complete profile, per Google's own checklist and representation guidelines:

  • Your real-world business name only, no "Best AC Repair Peenya 24x7" stuffed into it
  • The correct primary category (AC repair service, not "contractor")
  • If you go to the customer, set a service area and hide the address
  • Accurate hours, including holidays
  • Photos of real work, the team and the vehicle
  • The services list filled in with what you actually do
  • Your review link shared after every job, and a reply to every review

No ranking or lead count is promised here, by Google or by us; what is certain is that it costs nothing and you own it.

The second half is a fast, hand-coded website with one page per service-and-area ("AC repair in Peenya", "AC installation in Jalahalli"), a WhatsApp click-to-chat button (a wa.me link with a pre-filled message) and a missed-call number. Every tap, call and message writes a row into your own lead log with the source filled in. If you are collecting quotes, read what a website should cost first.

Then, after ninety days, put Google and JustDial side by side on the same sheet and let the cost per real enquiry decide.

FAQs

How much does JustDial charge for a paid listing in 2026?

There is no public rate card; JustDial prices by category and city and calls its own figures indicative. Reports range from about ₹12,000 to ₹52,000 a year, and the Q2 FY27 filing implies an average of roughly ₹20,900 a year per paid campaign (₹342.8 crore ÷ 656,520 × 4).

Is JustDial listing free or paid?

Both exist. The JustDial free listing vs paid listing difference is visibility and lead delivery, not whether you appear. JustDial reported 57.4 million listings but 656,520 paid campaigns in Q2 FY27, so most listings are free.

Does JustDial have a minimum one-year contract?

The sample terms in a Scribd-uploaded invoice (authenticity unverified) and the 2026 owner complaints both describe a one-year default term, paid upfront or by monthly ECS, with auto-renewal. Read the contract PDF before paying.

How do I cancel JustDial ECS/auto-debit?

Give JustDial written notice (the sample terms mention three months) and keep the acknowledgement. Separately, ask your bank to cancel the NACH mandate, since several owners report the debit continued after written cancellation.

Does JustDial refund if I get no leads?

Owners in 2025–2026 complaints report being refused refunds and offered an "adjustment against services" instead. Assume no refund, and decide on the full-year cost accordingly.

Does JustDial share the same lead with other businesses?

Yes, a lead typically goes to several paid listings in the same category and area. The only published figure is Outlook Business's from 2013 ("three to five paid listings"); JustDial discloses no current number.

Is a JustDial paid listing worth it?

It can be: in emergency or high-intent categories, where fewer than about five paid competitors exist in your city-category, for a new business with no reviews, and when your logged cost per job is below your margin. Decide from a ninety-day lead log, not from the sales call.

JustDial or Google Business Profile for local leads?

Have both, but build the Google Business Profile first: it is free, you own it, and Google states it cannot be paid for. Measure both in one lead log for ninety days and keep what delivers real enquiries below your margin.

What Cybiqon would build for your clinic, workshop or service firm

If the owned side deserves a real attempt, this is what Cybiqon would build: a fast, hand-coded site with one page per service and area, WhatsApp click-to-chat and a missed-call number wired in, and a lead log that is yours, where every call, tap and message lands as a row with its source filled in, so JustDial and Google sit on one sheet. It is written for your services and areas, not configured from a template; the two founders build it; and you own every line of the code.

Our custom websites are ₹9,999 one-time, live in 2–3 weeks, with the first year of fast hosting included; after that, hosting and domain run roughly ₹4,000–6,000 a year, paid directly to the provider. If you want to talk it through, book a 30-minute call, call +91 9250711473, or write to [email protected].

Conclusion

JustDial listing charges are whatever your category, city and negotiation produce, somewhere between ₹12,000 and ₹52,000 a year against a filed average of about ₹20,900. The price is not the problem; not knowing what each real enquiry costs is. Keep the lead log for ninety days, run the two formulas, renew only if the cost per job clears your margin, and build the free Google profile and the site you own alongside it. If you want the site and the log built properly, Cybiqon is a 30-minute call away.
